Did you know that October is Archives Month? GHS welcomes school groups to the GHS Research Center for a unique field trip experience focused on historical research. Utilizing interactive stations with relevant, engaging activities, these experiences introduce students to the work of historical archives and demystify the process of identifying and using historical resources.
Georgia Historical Society will offer FREE two-hour field trips to the Research Center during Archives Month. Slots are still available for Tuesday, October 18th and Tuesday, October 25th. The GHS Research Round-Up Field Trips are part of the National History Day Research Roundup Program presented by the National History Day Mentoring Program at LaGrange College and the Georgia Humanities Council. Groups with students working on NHD projects are encouraged to register, but all are welcome!
