In recognition of this month’s Georgia History Festival theme, “Opening the Archives: Telling the Stories of Innovation,” this week’s Super Museum Sunday Spotlight highlights the Augusta Museum of History. Founded in 1937 and located in the heart of Augusta, the Augusta Museum of History offers visitors a unique look into the people, events, and natural resources that shaped modern day Augusta. Visitors can view exhibitions exploring Augusta’s role in Georgia’s medical history in A Community That Heals, Augusta’s golfing history in Celebrating a Grand Tradition, The Sport of Golf, memorabilia from James Brown’s personal collection in The Godfather of Soul, James Brown, plus much more!
Learn more about the Augusta Museum of History when you visit Sunday, February 5 as part of the Georgia History Festival’s Super Museum Sunday.
