Georgia teachers are invited to register for a FREE workshop in Savannah, Georgia hosted by George Washington’s Mount Vernon and the Georgia Historical Society. As a surveyor, farmer, and investor George Washington constantly looked for opportunities to harness and manage natural resources and agricultural production for his own economic interest, as well as for the nation and communities he built. Explore Washington’s business acumen with experts from George Washington’s Mount Vernon and learn how inventions can be used as primary sources.

Participants will have the opportunity to tour the exhibits at the Georgia Historical Society and take part in a session focused on incorporating STEM into history classrooms. Return to your classroom this fall with new historic and curriculum resources to share with your students.
