GHS Education Coordinator Sophia Sineath will lead the fifth-grade students at Ashworth Middle School through an engaging in-school activity. In this activity, students will learn about history, economics, and science by exploring primary and secondary sources related to famous Georgia chemist Charles Herty and the impact of his innovative uses of Georgia’s pine trees to foster economic growth during the Great Depression.
