Join the Georgia Historical Society on Sunday, February 5, for the Georgia History Festival’s Super Museum Sunday! In the days leading up to the event, GHS will shine a light on participating Super Museum Sunday sites in anticipation for this popular annual event.
The Georgia Historical Society is pleased to announce the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) State Parks and Historic Sites Division’s participation in the Georgia History Festival’s Super Museum Sunday! Sixteen historic sites operated by DNR will open their doors free of charge to the public on Sunday, February 5. Sites range geographically from Kolomoki Mounds State Park in southwest Georgia, to the Little White House in middle Georgia, to Dahlonega Gold Museum Historic Site in the mountains of north Georgia. Please view the list of participating DNR historic sites below. Please note that hours vary for each site.

- Lawton Museum at Magnolia Springs State Park: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Wormsloe Historic Site: 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Fort McAllister: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Fort King George: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Hofwyl-Broadfield Plantation Historic Site: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Fort Morris: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Kolomoki Mounds State Park: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Roosevelt’s Little White House Historic Site: 9:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
- Jarrell Plantation Historic Site: 12:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- New Echota Historic Site: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Chief Van House Historic Site: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Dahlonega Gold Museum Historic Site: 10:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
- Liberty Hall at A.H. Stephens State Park: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm
- Traveler’s Rest Historic Site: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Etowah Indian Mounds Historic Site: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Pickett’s Mill Battlefield Historic Site: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
